Welcome Reception, Founders’ Banquet and Awards Ceremony

Wednesday, October 4, 2017, 5:30 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.

Come celebrate 20 years of résumé writing excellence with some of the founders of our organization. This festive reception is included with your conference registration and includes light hors d’oeuvres, one complimentary drink and dinner. It will be a wonderful opportunity to mix and mingle while we honor our founders. Following dinner, there will be an awards presentation, including announcement of the 2017 ROAR competition winners.

Guest tickets for the banquet are available during the registration process for $75.00 each.

Drury Lane Theater – Rock of Ages 

Thursday, October 5, 2017, 5:30 p.m.

One of Chicagoland’s finest facilities, Drury Lane offers fine dining combined with great entertainment. Join your colleagues for dinner and a show – “Rock of Ages.”

Nominated for five Tony Awards, “Rock of Ages” features a mix of 28 classic 80s hits by Bon Jovi, Journey, Styx and more including “Don’t Stop Believin,’” “We Built This City,” and “The Final Countdown." Rock of Ages follows aspiring rock star Drew and his sweetheart, Sherri, as they fight to save Hollywood's Sunset Strip. Don’t miss a musical so awesome, you’ll want to rock out again! 

Tickets are $85.00 each and include dinner, theater and gratuity. Transportation to the theater is on your own by cab, Uber or shuttle.              

Rock of Ages is recommended for ages 13+. Please be advised that there are mild adult themes.

Round Trip Bus Charter to Chicago

Thursday, October 5, 2017, 5:30 p.m. – 10:30 p.m.

Just because the conference is in the suburbs doesn’t mean you won’t get a chance to enjoy some of the sights of the city. We’re chartering a shuttle for $25.00 round trip (includes gratuity) to a central location in the city. Once downtown, you’ll be on your own for dinner and/or sightseeing. The shuttle will pick up at 10:00 p.m. for an approximate 10:30 return to the hotel.

The Westin is just minutes away from great shopping and dining around the Lombard and Oakbrook area. Choose from a variety of tasty restaurants. Simply, sign up at the conference and we’ll arrange reservations. Transportation and dinner will be on your own.
